‼️UPDATE‼️…

‼️UPDATE‼️

Hi everyone 👋. Just a quick update after yesterday’s government announcements ….

After consultation with many of our regular traders, and following the advice given by NABMA (National Association of British Markets) and the NMTF (National Market Traders Federation), we have decided that the market will remain OPEN tomorrow.

We don’t expect it to be very busy. But there will be a small, dedicated and hard working group of independent market traders that many people in the local community rely upon, providing essential goods such as fresh bread, eggs, meat and household items that may be difficult to find in the shops and supermarkets given the current situation. The food vans will also be in operation as they offer a takeaway product and are positioned outdoors in the open air.

Of course, we urge everyone to take heed of the government’s guidelines regarding social distancing and ask that all people classified in the identified at-risk groups, and those showing any symptoms, stay at home.

With the present situation being so rapidly evolving, we will be watching closely to all advice/guidelines and posting further updates regarding the ongoing operation of the market and car boot sale over the coming weeks and months.

In the meantime, everyone stay safe, stay positive, don’t panic, keep calm and carry on 🇬🇧💪
